Come and network, pick up a tip or two, and have some coffee and breakfast pizza with us!

Our AM on PM (morning on project managment) breakfast events occur each month, the second Friday of the month. The topic is based on PSA's monthly theme, which is one of the ten Knowledge Areas in the PMBOK® Guide. We will be there to network with you and to facilitate an interactive discussion on our monthly topic.

Speaker: Nancy Bennett, CSM, PMP, Owner of NBennett Consulting Services.

Topic: "Using Atlassian Jira Portfolio to Roadmap and Manage projects across multiple Agile Teams"

Have you every struggled using Jira or your current issue tracker to manage projects across multiple Agile teams? Have you ever wished that you could specify a hierarchy of issues to track progress at every level of your project? Have you struggled with roadmapping and capacity planning? Finally, Atlassian’s Jira provides the tools necessary to succeed at this. By including Jira Portfolio as an add on to Jira you can create a roadmap across multiple Agile teams and projects and roll up your sprints and deliverables in one view. Portfolio also allows you to do high-level scheduling and capacity planning. You can also organize and plan your future work according to your team's resources and availabilities.

Not familiar with Jira? Not to worry, in this presentation, we will briefly review the basics: Jira’s Core which provides basic ticketing, workflow management as well as Jira Software, which provides Agile Board functionality to manage each Agile Team’s deliverables. Finally, we will see how Jira Portfolio can be used to take Atlassian Jira to the next level for big picture planning and tracking of cross team projects.

This presentation will provide you with 1.25 PDUs from the Technical leg of the Project Management Institute (PMI)®'s new Talent Triangle. Remember that you will need EIGHT (8) of these PDUs in order to recertify for each 3 year period.
